No Place Like Home

There is no place quite like home.  As cliche as that sounds, it is the truth.  The addition of moving and sleeping on an air mattress didn't exactly make the moving adventure five star, but I did enjoy all the family time.  I failed to mention that last night's yoga class was in Spanish.  It was an entirely new experience for me.  I think I actually prefer Spanish yoga because of the passion of the language and the movement.  Add it to your Bucket List!

The drive home was uneventful and a wet roads welcomed me to San Antonio and also to Boerne.  I opened the gate to the farm and drove to my usual parking spot.  The chickens heard me drive up and came running over to greet me.  I could hear the pony neighing in the distance and the goats were remarkably quiet.  Thadd removed their warming light since the goats kept pulling it down and it nearly started a fire in the hay.  I walked over to the chicken coop to see all of my girls and my gang of boys.  They were all fine and dandy.  I had a momentary panic as I could not find the cockatiels.  I started whistling and they quickly responded.  Whew.

The pony and goat were happy to see me and I them.  I fed everyone and walked back to the house unable to feel my hands.  Thadd was grilling fajitas on the grill in the drizzle.  Oh how I love the smell of the grill.  I unloaded the car and unpacked all the stuff.  I yelled a little as my children thought their only responsibility was to come home and begin making messes.  Their real chore was to unload the car and unpack their suitcases.  They are now asleep and their suitcases are still packed and in the kitchen.

I met my new cat for the first time since she originally disappeared when she arrived on Monday.  She is friendly, but scrawny.  I'm sure a few more weeks at my house and she will be healthy and fluffy.  Now to take her to the vet for shots and getting fixed.  The last thing on earth I need is kittens.  Be aware that if I do have kittens, I expect all of my faithful blog readers to provide a home for each and every one of them.  Yes?  PLEASE!!

I am thankful to be home in my own bed.(Day 39).  I clicked my ruby red slippers and now I'm home!  I hope all of you are arriving safely from your travels and discovering the happiness of being home at last.   Goodnight Friends.
