I arrived via a 747 full of men headed for the electronics show. I was one of five women on the flight and I was sad to find out that not one of them was headed for the Miss America Pageant. I'm not sure how the electronics show is more interesting than Miss America?!
I quickly found the billboard advertising male dancers and didn't think I would make it this time or EVER, so I took a photo. Finding my really large suitcase I walked to the curb where I was picked up by a former student from my days as a dance teacher. She is married and relocated to Las Vegas two days ago! What a treat! We drove around and went down a few dead end streets before finding the hotel. We met up with my roommate for the week, former Miss Wisconsin, and we got to the shops to find the bare essentials. From the picture you can see that our favorite essential store was having their yearly sales event! My roommate lives in Fargo, North Dakota and has had a difficult time finding essentials that fit her voluptuous physique. They only sell A & B or a minimizer. Who wants to minimize? I think everyone I know falls into the voluptuous category as defined in Fargo.
Walking past the shoe store I stopped to photograph some shoes and a handbag I find delicious. Maybe Santa reads my blog and will bring me those for Christmas! After some sushi we went back to the hotel for a rest. After a flurry of text messages we met up with some friends from Laredo. They treated us to dinner and we enjoyed great food and conversation. Who knew that two "has been" scholarship pageant winners would be treated to dinner! A very special treat.
I'm sitting in the casino at the Venetian thinking about how incredibly thankful I am for friends with great conversation and laughs.(Day 42) Goodnight Friends!
I'd like to see you on the farm in those shoes!!!
