Today we slept late after the 20oz steak and the arrival of Miss Minnesota at nearly midnight. We got dressed and walked, which seemed close, to Planet Hollywood to the Miss America trade show. A complete wreck for someone like me who loves beautiful gowns and anything sparkly. Luckily I write a blog and was given permission to post a photo of some of the vendors. To check them out click here.
At the trade show we ran in to Miss Louisiana and enjoyed a lovely reunion complete with hugs and smiles. The day had some activities but mostly we rushed to ready for dinner. At dinner we found an electronic celebrity. People were gathering and asking for autographs so I had my photo taken with him. He apparently has a wildly successful blog.
We had a delicious dinner at Aria's American Fish and walked over to the last night of preliminary competition. It was a brisk walk but we made it. Below you will see an illegal photograph taken from our very VIP seats in the nose bleed section.
I'm blogging from the audience to make sure I post prior to midnight in Texas. My husband has been doing a great job in my absence. Unfortunately, Chloe has been having nightmares and Brett a bleeding permanent tooth. I'm hoping tomorrow is a better day for my children. I am also asking for special prayer for two teachers at my children's school: one teacher was hit by an eighteen wheeler while driving her car and the other teacher's husband is in the hospital suffering from a possibly fatal condition. These sorts of tragedies impact the children so much and they allow the children to see God's hand in the lives of their teachers. I am so thankful for each one of you who read this blog and for your continued support of my passion: relationships.(Day 44). Signing off from the Miss America Preliminary Pageant....Goodnight Friends!
