PREGNANT?

Today Chloe and I set out on an epic adventure.  Our first stop was HEB for sustenance and then the Dollar General for supplies and last the feed store for animal sustenance.  The Dollar General is where we purchased Pregnancy Tests.  Chloe was more intrigued by the UTI Test, the Drug Test, and the Ovulation Test.  I assured her we only needed to Pregnancy Test.  She said something about how we could've avoided the fight and me threatening a catheter and just used the handy dandy UTI tester from Dollar General.  I said, "Well, I guess now we know."

We pull up to the house with our fresh, hot pizza and pepperoni rolls from Broken Stone Pizza, the only place in Boerne it was safe to get food since there was a parade in progress.  You might be wondering why we were not at the parade.  So was Chloe.  I calmed her concern by telling her it was imperative for us to do pregnancy tests today.

We ate dinner and ran to the pony/goat area to wait and wait and wait and wait and wait for the goats to urinate.  We waited for an hour and twenty minutes.  Charles(pony), Buster(dog), Scratchy(kitty), Marsha(kitty), and Chloe all sat waiting for the darn goats to pee.  We sat, we stood, we rested on the pony, and at one point we rested on the goats.  Finally they start to urinate.  Chloe is able to capture some from Pip and Belle stops mid-stream when I show up behind her with a green plastic cup.  Chloe and I skip to the house with our warm cup of pee and use our handy pregnancy kit to test the urine.  See below the series of pictures for maximum effect.

FINALLY!!!!!  A sample!

The moment of truth! NOT PREGNANT.

I think the best part of the whole evening is when we walked inside and Thadd was reading on the internet how pregnancy tests don't work on goats.  Can someone please study goat urine in both pregnant and non pregnant females and find out what is present and can be measured as a pregnancy indicator.  I think goat pregnancy tests would be very popular among hobby farmers like me!!

I was unable to capture video since both goats started urinating at the same time and both of us were busy trying to catch urine and not filming.  Brett was uninterested in our endeavor and notice how Thadd waited one hour and twenty minutes before he broke the news to me about how human pregnancy tests don't work for goats.  Ok, well, time for bed.  That was a big adventure for one day!!
I am thankful for a husband who allows me to go off on my crazy tangents, but always seems to know the answers (Day 10).  Goodnight Friends!
