Since we are 21 days from Christmas I would like to give you a few holiday gift ideas.  I do not do much shopping, but I do know what I like and I see all the fun stuff other people have around me.  Following the trend of when we were kids(early 80's), everything monogrammed is still cool.  Well, it is cool unless you read in those books about child safety that says you should never monogram your kids stuff.  OOPS!  Red Envelope has some great monogrammed items as does Thirty One.  I am a huge fan of the monogram.  One of my absolute favorites comes from my friend's blog, Oh Goodie Designs!  She is both a party planner and a doer of amazing things and just so happens to be the wearer of the necklace to your left.

For the fun and exciting gifts that might be a little pricey, but memorable, I suggest Hammacher Schlemmer.  If you prefer home goods, I recently stumbled upon One Kings Lane.  I fell instantly in love with all of the stuff.  If you are like me and you have ENOUGH stuff, jump down to the next paragraph.

This year, the Stricker Family Farm is donating to Heifer International.  It is an organization that supports teaching families how to raise themselves out of poverty through trade and agriculture.  The website is very user friendly and my children LOVE giving animals to other children.  There are so many great organizations to give to, find one that suits you.  There is no such thing as too little to give.  Many organizations are happy to receive $5 or $10 as our dollar goes a long way in other countries.

I am thankful for the ability to have enough to not only live, but also to give.  I am blessed beyond measure to live in a country that pays decent wages and homes have more than convenience; they boast luxury(day 13).  Goodnight Friends.
