Triple Trouble |
In February 1994, I was presented as a debutante in the Society of Martha Washington's annual Pageant. Each of us portrays some one from some place in time depending on the theme of the Pageant. Many of my childhood friends were involved and we spent a ten months preparing for the pageant with long practices and heavy dresses. Some dresses were so heavy the girls required maxi pads on their hips to keep the boning in the petticoats from cutting their hips. My dress was not THAT heavy, but it was six feet across. Walking with a dress this size was no small feat!!
